An F Talk interaction hint above an NPC near the trainer

Planning reference image; subject to change.

Exploration also means noticing whom to talk to, which objects to use, and what can be picked up. The contextual cursor shows the map click’s action; the hint near your trainer shows the target and your configured interaction key.

The same command can start a conversation, use an object, or request item pickup, depending on the indicated target. Your position and facing direction help select among nearby targets. Moving closer or turning lets you adjust that choice; the action still follows range and the object’s or item’s rules.

During a conversation, the command belongs to the dialogue: reveal speech, advance reading, or confirm the focused option. Nearby action hints remain suspended until the conversation ends, so continuing a line does not also activate something in the world.
