PUO combines real-time Pokémon combat with an original world and progression. In battle, you switch control between the trainer and the active Pokémon, and moves, positioning, and timing become your skill.
What guides the design of PUO

1Narrative exploration
Story, geography, and discovery reinforce one another: every new path can reveal a piece of the world and its history.

2Strategic real-time combat
Positioning, timing, moves, and the choice to control the trainer or the Pokémon make battle a matter of skill.

3Player-driven economy
Crafting, breeding, gathering, and trade make players depend on one another, without paid power becoming the dominant strategy.

4Strong social bonds
Parties, guilds, cooperative and global quests, reputation, and minigames make the community part of progression.

5Collection and expression
Pokémon, shinies, looks, and the customization of your trainer and house support your identity over time.
Note: the videos below are old, recorded more than 5 years ago, and do not reflect the current state of the game.
With one command, bound to a key you choose (F5 by default), the camera moves to your Pokémon, and you move, aim, and use its moves as if you were playing it.
The lower a wild Pokémon's health, the better your chance to catch it, and conditions such as sleep and freeze help. Once it faints, it can no longer be caught.
Materials from wild Pokémon and quest rewards become items at crafting tables, following recipes called blueprints.
Plant berries, wheat, sugarcane, and more in the community gardens. Without water and care, the plants die.

Form a party to hunt and battle together, with an experience bonus for those who fight side by side.

We are preparing a first experience in Rifure for closed beta. Planning then moves on to open beta and launch. Each beta will open with its end date already set and will last only a few days. There are no public dates yet: follow the stages and feature progress on the roadmap.
A completed feature means its development scope is finished. Access to tests and availability to play will be announced on the site and Discord.
We do not want paid power to be the dominant strategy. That is one of the principles of PUO’s design.
No. PUO has an original story, and this is not the Kanto players know.
