The NPC battle foundation lets you face game-controlled trainers and their teams. Each encounter can have its own combination of species, levels, Abilities, and moves, allowing different challenges throughout the adventure.
Preparing your team for these fights means considering the opposing lineup, available moves, and how your companions can take part. Battles can support learning as well as challenges that call for a different preparation.
The completed milestone covers these battle mechanics. Journey preparation continues to determine which encounters appear in each activity and how they connect with places in the world.
